The Reggio Emilia approach

dates back to post-war Italy, in the northern region of Reggio Emilia.  The people of Reggio Emilia came together to develop a meaningful way to educate their children, and to create a better future for their community. The Reggio Emilia Approach to learning engages children in questions that they develop and investigate. Just like the community of Reggio Emilia, the image of the child as a capable, curious and creative learner is at the heart of all we do at Richland Academy

These attitudes were used in their every day life, and provided a wonderful connection to the IB Learner Profile and Attitudes we wish for our children to take as their own.

Richland Academy

The grade 7/8 students read articles about the many men and women that fought to bring peace to our world. As a class, we discuss the many wars and conflicts of past and present. We remember the veterans and thank them for their sacrifice. This November 11, 2018 marks 100 years since the end of World War I. How will you remember?
