Senior Years Programme (DP)
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a challenging and internationally recognized two-year program. It prepares students for success at university and beyond by developing strong academic knowledge, critical thinking, research, and global perspectives. Starting 2029.
DP CURRICULUM
Students study six subjects, choosing one from each subject group:
Studies in Language and Literature
Language Acquisition
Individuals and Societies
Sciences
Mathematics
The Arts (or an additional subject from another group)
Students take three Higher Level (HL) courses for greater depth and three Standard Level (SL) courses for breadth of learning.
THE CORE OF THE IB DIPLOMA PROGRAMME
In addition to their six subjects, all DP students complete three core components:
EARNING THE IB DIPLOMA ALONGSIDE THE ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL DIPLOMA (OSSD)

Studies indicate that IB students are more likely to receive university merit awards and demonstrate higher graduation rates, ranging from 64–84% compared to 40%.
IB CERTIFICATE PATHWAY
The IB Certificate Pathway offers students the opportunity to experience the academic rigour of the IB Diploma Programme while building a personalized program that aligns with their strengths, interests, and post-secondary goals.
Students take a selection of IB Diploma Programme courses and complete the IB Core—Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS). Upon graduation, they earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) along with IB Course Certificates for the subjects they successfully complete.
The IB Certificate Pathway provides the flexibility to pursue a customized academic journey while benefiting from the inquiry-based learning and internationally recognized standards of an IB education.
ASSESSMENT AND ACADEMIC RIGOR
The DP combines internal assessments, including coursework, projects, and presentations, with final external examinations graded internationally.
Students are assessed on application, analysis, and evaluation, with globally benchmarked standards recognized by universities worldwide. (bullet points?)

PREPARATION FOR UNIVERSITY
Students start meeting with their dedicated university advisor from grade 10. They receive support on the following:
One-on-one advising sessions tailored to each student's goals and timeline
College and university research to build a balanced, well-matched list
Guidance on IB predicted grades and how they align with university entry requirements
Career and pathway exploration, portfolio building, and support finalizing applications and evaluating offers
